One to One NOW!
With the prospect of economic slowdown, the good news is that prices of everything are going down. This is the time to get our One to One laptop initiative off the ground. The need is clear and the skills our staff possess are more than enough to move our instruction forward. We have been through the discussions and presentations and it is time to trust the future. Our students lag behind each day they are not able to put the technology in play in their work. Enough with the wait, let's get going.

I've come to the realization that it may be a long time before we have the funds necessary to insure each student has equal and frequent access to technology in our school(s).
ReplyDeleteSo what can we do in the meantime? AS alwaays, it comes down to the creativity and willingness of classroom teachers to think outside the box.The million dollar question is how do we get the most out of the technology resources we have? it's time to put our heads together and look for creative solutions when the money just isn't there. In this year of shrinking budgets, I am forced to make the decision between teachers or computers...I would rather have teachers.
